The Super Series Champion Title will be awarded to the highest scoring lure caster of the series. The Super Series champ will be announced and presented with a prize pack and trophy at the end of the final round.
As well as having the chance to become a Round Winner/Runner up or the overall Super Series Champion, in every round the top 5 point scorers will qualify to compete for the final round SEASON QUALIFIERS FISH OFF. This enables the people who qualified throughout the season a chance to compete for an extra prize against the other top five anglers during the last round.
A $10 donation to be paid at registration to be in the running for the rounds "Big Native" prize, winner takes home a wallet full of tens for the biggest pig of a yella or thumper of a cod - amount depending on how many compete!
All fish are to be measured by the fishos themselves with the use of a brag mat and a digital camera then report their catch at the end of the session. Catch tokens will be handed out each round and are to be placed on the mats next to the fish when photographed to authenticate the fish was caught that day.
All competitors must abide by Victorian or NSW Boating and Fishing regulations, hold a current fishing licence and compete at own risk.
The aim of the Super Series is to provide a relaxed, regular competition to promote Catch and Release lure fishing in the Central Vic area. You may compete in the majority of rounds to be in the running for the overall "Series Title" or just come along and compete in a single comp for a bit of fun. Meet some other passionate lure casters, fish new water, hone your skills and be in the running to win some cash and prizes.
All rounds consist of one fishing session of 6-8hrs on either a Saturday or Sunday.
Example: boats on water, registration between 7am-7.30am then fish till 2pm.
Scoring will be a point system to determine the Round Winners and a running tally on the leader board kept to determine the Series champ.
•Each round will have a target species, either Murray Cod or Golden Perch. 1 point per centimetre will be awarded plus 10 bonus points for each target species landed.
•A flat rate score of 10 points for Redfin and Carp on lure (max 5 per competitor per round)
•Everyone will receive a bonus 10 points per round that they attend to go towards the series title
